This module assesses the need for students to be able to understand that effective organisations need to anticipate, prepare for, respond to and recover from a range of incidents. This will include hazards and the resulting risks, such as severe weather events, novel emergencies, resulting in
widespread disruption for the airline industry and other individual and organisations. In addition, the module will discuss a range of threats that affect and impact the airline industry, such as security incidents (including cyber); terrorism and other malicious events, such as the insider threat
to organisations. The module will also enable the students to understand and analyse the organisation and its culture in the context of high stress and pressure situations and environments. This aspect is vital to understanding how crises can be internally created and impacts increased.
